Driving Innovation: Five things you need to know about our new CoolLED Pro drivers
When we launched our innovative CoolLED range in 2009, even the team at Harvard Technology couldn’t have predicted the huge success the range would deliver. Now, some 8 years and 9 million global sales later, our continual drive to produce the most technologically advanced equipment on the market has led us to improve the range once more and develop our new CoolLED Pro drivers.
In this blog, we explore five features that will ensure our CoolLED Pro range remains the best on the market.
Most Advanced Technology & EyeNut ready
Incorporating a market leading advanced primary control integrated circuit together with a new automotive quality integrated circuit, allows the CoolLED Pro drivers to deliver outstanding performance within an ultra-slim, low profile form factor. The entire CL Pro range can also be wirelessly enabled using a plug-in ‘EyeNut Pebble’ module. The drivers are then fully controllable and programmable via the award-winning EyeNut wireless lighting control system.
The optimised driver design ensures class leading ultra-low flicker with high performance levels of less than 1% ripple at 100Hz/12oHz across the entire range, mitigating the risks of invisible random flicker in a multitude of applications including offices, retail stores and much more.
Ease of Programmability
Our new CoolLED Pro range is entirely customisable and configurable via our advanced programming software. This gives users complete freedom to control the output power of an LED driver in any configuration, with drive current programming in 1mA step increments and smooth dimming options. Such high levels of programmability can be achieved in less than two seconds either at Harvard Technology or at the customer facility using the intuitive programming software.
We provide our OEM customers with a market leading service that allows them to place minimum order quantities of our most popular drivers. These will then be despatched within 72 hours of the order being received. What’s more we don’t plan to stop there, as we are working hard to reduce these timescales even further.
Highly Efficient Design
We have been able to achieve impressive gains in efficacy across the entire range, making our drivers comparable, or in many cases superior, to comparable single stage design drivers. The high efficiency - up to 84% in our 15W drivers and 87.5% in our 40W drivers - combined with the meticulous design and high-quality components lead to an impressive long life, resulting in enhanced peace of mind.
