Nodes

Enabling control of each light point

Each lantern has its own Node installed which can control either a WiMAC enabled ballast or driver, or any other conventional control gear for switching up to 400w or dimming through DALI and 1-10v Analogue protocol.

Nodes available include the LeafNode, RetroNode, UniNode, MagNode, SensorNodes, UniNodes and NemaNode.

BranchNode

The main control unit of the LeafNut system

It communicates bi-directionally through Radio Frequency with up to 256 Nodes, and through GPRS with the Trunk. The BranchNode contains a photocell and GPS locator, and has a typical urban range of 1km and a rural range of up to 8km where clear line of sight is available.

TrunkNode

Full cloud-based control from anywhere in the world

The trunk is where users access and manage their LeafNut system, using sophisticated ground-breaking WiMAC Central Management System (CMS) technology, which provides the operator with a secure Internet connection so nodes can be commissioned, assigned to a dimming profile and report back in a matter of minutes.

LEAFNUT SYSTEM FEATURES AND ANALYTICS

There are too, many benefits of installing LeafNut alongside Harvard control gear, be that for either HID or LED luminaires. Increased analytics & reporting functionality meaning you can maximise the full LeafNut capabilities. Unlock the full potential of the LeafNut CMS, & install LeafNut alongside Harvard control gear.

Via the TrunkNode central web server and sophisticated ground-breaking WiMAC CMS technology the operator is provided a secure Internet connection allowing for communication by GSM mobile phone to the main BranchNode control units mounted in the light. 

The BranchNodes are in wireless communication with up to 256 Nodes, each of which are linked directly to an electronic LED driver or ballast in each street light. With this connection, the user can commission, dim and report back status in the field in a matter of minutes.

LeafNut manages the light output, allowing the dimming of street lights to match specific requirements and uniquely provides light management individually, in groups or as a whole. The programmable two-way process also gathers information regarding energy consumption and maintenance requirements.

Comprehensive data is sent and received by each lantern, quickly providing detailed and accurate reports including power consumption data and lamp monitoring. LeafNut also incorporates full system diagnostics including reduced power, failed to strike, thermal shutdown and aged lamp shutdown, as well as ballast timeout, time reset and uhf communication failure
